Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: 5 October 2026
Green Grass Depot wants everyone to be able to reach us, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or voice control. This page explains what we have done, what we have not finished yet, and how to tell us when something is getting in your way.
Standard we are working to
This site is being built against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG 2.2 AA is our target, not a certificate we hold. We have not commissioned a third-party audit, and we are not claiming full conformance. We would rather tell you exactly where we are than imply a guarantee we cannot back up.
What this site already does
- Every page has a
langattribute and a single, descriptiveh1. - A "Skip to main content" link is the first item in the tab order on every page.
- All content sits inside a labelled
<main>landmark, and the primary navigation is a labelled<nav>landmark. - Every form field has a real
<label>tied to it withforandid, and required fields are marked both visually and witharia-required. - Form results are announced through a
role="status"region, so a screen reader reports success or failure without moving focus unexpectedly. - Frequently asked questions use native
<details>and<summary>elements, which are operable by keyboard and understood by assistive technology without custom scripts. - The gallery uses real
<button>elements, and the photo viewer is a native<dialog>that traps focus and closes with Esc. - Decorative emoji and icons are hidden from screen readers so they are not announced as gibberish.
- Links that open in a new tab say so, and carry
rel="noopener noreferrer". - There is a visible gold focus outline on every interactive element, sized to stay visible against the dark background.
- Text contrast meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface boundaries.
- Interactive controls are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- The page zoom and pinch scale are not blocked.
- If your operating system requests reduced motion, animation and transitions are switched off.
Known gaps
These are the items we know are not finished. We are listing them because an accessibility statement that claims no problems is not useful to anyone.
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Photographs in the project gallery | Descriptions are placeholders pending written descriptions from the photographer. |
| Showroom video | Not yet published. When it is, it will ship with a text transcript and caption file. |
| Independent audit | No third-party audit has been carried out. This statement does not claim conformance. |
How to tell us about a barrier
If something on this site stops you getting what you need, please tell us. Tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. Plain language is fine, and you do not need to know any technical terms.
- Phone the showroom on (714) 782-7633 during business hours.
- Use the quote form on the home page and mention accessibility in your message.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to give you a workaround or a fix. If a fix takes longer, we will say so rather than leave you guessing.
